This talk will be held in the LeMarchant St. Thomas School Library at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 16th.

One of your SAC’s objectives is to provide opportunities for parents to learn too! We try to identify talks/presentations that would be helpful and informative for parents. The first session we have organized is intended to inform and advise parents and care givers, who want to learn more about their role in preventing their school age children from using or abusing alcohol and other drugs.

It is a comprehensive approach to drug prevention in the community. The core presentation will cover a variety of topics including; being a positive role model, talking with your kids, helping your kids make good choices, and “what” parents need to know about drugs.

A booklet will be provided to each attendee. This booklet contains many ideas for ways that parents, can make a difference with their attitude, their actions and their words. Despite all the challenges out there, they can raise a healthy child, free from drug abuse.
