Lunchtime Volunteers Needed Starting Tuesday, Dec. 6th

An important message from our Home & School Association
about supervision of our students at lunch:

Dear Parents,

As we are sure you are now well aware, NSTU job action begins Monday, Dec. 5th, 2016. We have been in touch with our school principal, Jeanne Boudreau, to understand how the parent community can help during this unusual time for our students.
The most critical need at this time involves lunch hour outdoor supervision, usually managed by our principal and vice principal. As part of work to rule, they can no longer participate in this duty.

Parent Volunteers Needed Beginning Tuesday

We are asking that 2-3 parent volunteers help out with yard supervision for the duration of the job action. The shifts would be 1 hour long from noon-1:00p.m. You would be expected to watch the older children from noon-12:30p.m., and the younger children from 12:30-1:00p.m.
To participate, you will need to have a valid Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry on file with the office. Mandy has a list of those parents who have valid checks; she can also forward the needed paperwork for those wishing to help.
We have set-up a schedule and sign up at the following link:

Thank you for taking the time to help out and ensure the safety of our children at lunchtime. Jeanne has assured us that this is one area where she has concerns and that the help of parents is much needed and appreciated by administration and teachers.
